Magic Tree For My Girls

Magic Tree For My Girls

I’ve just finished two new paintings, which I started ages ago. It was a very long process, as I was trying to find a new language. All my search for the last 15 or so months is somewhere there, in these pictures. And I am looking forward to see what’s coming next…

I’ve found a wonderful video clip on YouTube:

by Philip Scott Johnson

500 Years of Female Portraits in Western Art

Music: Bach’s Sarabande from Suite for Solo Cello No. 1 in G Major, BWV 1007 performed by Yo-Yo Ma

Nominated as Most Creative Video
2nd Annual YouTube Awards

I am thinking up a portrait to paint for the next year BP portrait award. Thinking…

Other than that nothing turmoilous has been happening lately. Life is nice and routinely. I paint, I have certain paintings to accomplish by certain dates, and it feels very nice, actually. I read, I have some books I am planning to get hold of and read, and it feels like a slow but progress. I take the girls here and there while the weather is nice, we enjoy Summer, woods and strawberry picking… Idyll.

Make the most of it while it lasts, all I can do 🙂
